Dennis & Shelley
I have known Sue Orton for years, as she sold my mother-in-law’s house for us some years ago. So when we were looking for a real estate agent to help us with the sale of our own house in Webster Groves last fall, I enlisted Sue.
One of Sue’s best traits, I think, is her never-failing optimism and positivity. From the outset she was encouraging about the selling of our home and helping us find a new one. This was no small task, as we owned an older, smaller home in Webster and were very particular about what we were looking for in a new one.
We all expected our Webster property to sell rather quickly, but unfortunately it seemed from early on that everything that could go wrong, did. This turned the process into a much longer and more difficult journey than any of us anticipated. Sue helped us to stay the course when frustration and disappointment loomed, always offering encouraging suggestions and negotiating on our behalf. She deftly navigated us through the many signings, inspections, and work that was required to both sell and buy properties. We relied on her knowledge and expertise to get us through the many pitfalls we encountered. I am happy to say that with Sue’s guidance we did sell our home and found a townhouse in our chosen area to purchase.
Another integral individual in our success story was Sue’s real estate partner, Joyce Ugarte. When Sue was out of town Joyce was committed to helping us find properties to look at, and, in fact, recommended we look at the property we ended up buying. Joyce was constantly working behind the scenes to research information that could help us in any way—even helping us locate workmen to do some repairs. And she was key in coming up with ideas to market our house. Together Joyce and Sue made a dynamic duo, and we are grateful for their help and expertise. We highly recommend their real estate partnership.
